Insider Info
I Love Your Love: This one's about my daughter, my wife and my God.
In the end, as with most things, mostly God.
Shortly after graduating from college, my daughter (Tess) was very much into rock climbing. We went up into the Franklin Mountains and she showed me some of the routes she would climb quite regularly. She calmed my fears for her safety by explaining how a friend below would hold a safety line and "belay" her. He was there for her and kept her safe.
Sometimes, on a really hot day, I might find myself working a table saw in the driveway, with sawdust sticking to my sweaty face and arms. My wife, Wendi, will come out with an umbrella to shade me and a glass of water to cool me. What a great wife!
I love your love.
I thought about how God gave me Wendi, then He gave us both Tess. He's the shade in the summer, the warmth in the winter, and keeps me from falling too far when I fall. God's got me.
I love Your love.
This song is about God.
The Recording: "I Love Your Love" was going to be very simple, with just my voice and Angel (my Larrivee C10-E acoustic guitar), but I decided to put some harmonies on there. ...and then I decided to lay down a clavietta track (sounds like a harmonica or accordion.) ...and then I thought some uke might be nice. And so it goes. :o)
Vocals and clavietta were recorded with an Aston Origin microphone. Angel and my Kala uke were recorded with an AKG P170.

I love Your love
I love Your love
I love Your love
Oh, how I love You
When the sun beats down You bring the shade
When I'm cold You're a blanket around me
When I wander it's You who shows me the way
When I was lost it was You who found me
And I love Your love
I love Your love
Oh, I love Your love
Oh, how I love You
When I'm down You lift me higher
As I climb my lifeline at Your command
You belay me as I walk the wire
Rise or fall, through it all I'm in Your hands
Through it all I love Your love
I love Your love
Oh, I love Your love
Oh, how I love You
